Alright, there are a lot of wrong ways to get to Campout, so we’re gonna guide you step-by -step on what to do to make your journey as smooth as possible. Mom and Dad aren’t going to pack our sunscreen and water for you this time! So the first thing to take care of is buying your Passes:
1) Go to the Dirtybird Campout website here, and browse the different options you have for Passes and Add-On tickets.
2) Go to the eventbrite ticket page here. A must in your cart is either your Festival Pass or VIB (Very Important Bird) pass.
3) Buy your add-on tickets: BBQ tickets and Early Arrival Passes (gets you in 1 day early).
4) Buy your transportation passes (options below): Vehicle passes or Camp Bus Shuttle passes
You’ll also get a chance to preorder some Campout merchandise when you move through the purchase process at eventbrite. If you missed that, go to our Dirtybird Store here to pre-order and pick up your merch at campout.
This year Dirtybird Campout will take place at the Modesto Reservoir Campground: 18143 Reservoir Rd., Waterford, CA 95386.
Now it’s time to start browsing all the different options you have for transportation to Campout. We have set up a few things for you that we hope you take advantage of.
Here are your options:
Drive Your Car
You’ll need a Vehicle Pass for your car or an RV pass for the non-hookup RV spots. Buy these here

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU GET TO CAMP
Alright, the hard part is over, and now it’s time to party! Here are the steps on what to do once you arrive at camp:
Have ALL your passes either printed out or ready to show on your cell phone when you arrive at the venue. Important note: cell phone service is really spotty at the location, so try to remember to print out your tickets or save your eventbrite codes in your phone’s photos for scanning at the gate prior to arriving. You will be given all of your credentials at the gate. When you pull up to the gate show them your Passes and you will receive your wristband.
If you want to camp with your friends, make sure you drive in with your friends. Find a meeting point in Waterford before you come to the gate.
You will be shown where to go to your camping area which is either RV Camping, Vehicle Camping, Group Camping, or Wise Owl Camping. Be polite and get to know your neighbors as this is your home for 3-4 days!
You will be given a Field Guide when you arrive so be sure to refer to it to get the lay of the land: 2 music stages (Birdhouse & Bass Lodge), the Bunkhouse activity stage, the Games HQ & food vendors village.
Once you get settled at your campground, your first move is to go to the Games HQ and get your color bandana and attend opening ceremonies at the Bunkhouse. Your color team leaders will introduce you to your color team and coach you on their techniques to win the games!
Plan your camp adventure! Make a list of important DJs you don’t want to miss, what games and activities you want to attend and most importantly have fun!
