How to Do Dirtybird Campout on the Cheap

Give it a peep and come to Campout on the cheap! Getting down on the dancefloor with all your friends doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. A lot of other festivals are expensive and they still aren’t much fun. At Campout, it’s not about how much money you have or who’s better than anybody else. It’s about having a blast with all your friends and, we get it, it sucks when a few bucks stand in the way of that happening. Fear not though, Dirtybirds, we’ve compiled this handy guide with fiscally responsible options to help you navigate money-saving options ahead for all the best deals.

Give it a peep and come to Campout on the cheap!

1. Buy GA tickets

This one is obvious, but start off with just the ticket. It’s the one thing you absolutely gotta have when you arrive.

2. Rideshare

Gas is always a kick in the wallet. Why not carpool and split the cost two, three or more ways? It’s good for the environment and the further you travel the more you’ll probably save.

3. Bring in your own food and drinks

Want to enjoy the delicious BBQ without the full meal plan? Try an individual meal instead and offset the cost by bringing food to eat on other days. Loading up the cooler is not only a great way to manage your nutrition. It’s also a terrific way to save on the cost of eating at Camp. Bring dry ice to keep your cooler cold.

4. Share a Tent with a Friend

Don’t have money to spring for a tent? Throw down on the cost with a friend and camp together in style. Or better yet, see if anyone has a tent they can lend you for the weekend.

5. Bring a Reusable Water Bottle

Take advantage of the free water fountains, stay extra hydrated and scratch the cost of bottled water.

6. Bring supplies for a make-shift shower

There are other options for getting clean vs putting down dough for a shower. You’re not allowed to use any kind of soap in the reservoir, but you can take a dip. Use wet wipes when you get out with soap and rinse with water.

We hope everyone who wants to come can make it. Thanks for your ongoing support of the Dirtybird Campout!
