Sure, it’s a simple mantra but it’s the single compelling idea that drives the Dirtybird crew past, present and future. But, like you, we also love dance music in all its forms — hip-hop, electro, drum & bass and beyond.
That’s why we created a special lineup for the Bass Lodge at Dirtybird Campout 2018 — to celebrate beats, breaks and deep, driving bass with all the DJs, bands and artist showcases we love – including Slick Rick, Proper Villains, Christian Martin, Justin Jay and Eprom.
Here are some of the new and returning Dirtybird Campout 2018 artists who’ll bring the bass:
This UK artist’s debut live set is not to be missed! Over the course of his career, he’s worked with pop stars Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lady Gaga and Tame Impala’s frontman Kevin Parker. Now, in 2018, he’s teamed up with Diplo on a new collaboration project called Silk City. Check out his latest mix below:
Here comes the drums! This veteran UK drum & bass producer — aka Kirk Thompson — is best known as part of the Bristol-based Reprazent collective alongside Roni Size. But he’s also had a long and storied solo career as an artist and as label boss of the incredible Full Cycle label. Get ready for the rinse out!
This Detroit ghetto bass hero — aka Craig Adams — is sure to bring some booty to the party. He and his label, Jefferson Ave have release hundreds of ghetto tech anthems. He’s even remixed Claude VonStroke “The Whistler” in his long, storied career. Slide into his recent live set at Amsterdam’s Lente Kabinet Festival 2018.
Big Daddy Kane
New York underground hip-hop legend — aka Antonio Hardy — is a GRAMMY-Award winning artist and founding member of the Juice Crew collective. Classic rap tracks like 1988’s “Ain’t No Half Steppin’” and 1989’s “Smooth Operator” are sure to be in his live set at Campout 2018. He was recently ranked with two top 25 classic rap albums by Complex, but we don’t need a magazine to tell us how dope of an emcee we are going to hear this year!
In 2018, EPROM is back at DB Campout West where you can catch him sharing his love of soundscapes, ruthless bass warfare and unmatched sound design. Eprom is a Campout favorite and collaborator on this year’s huge techno bomb, “Grenade” with Claude VonStroke. We never know what to expect from this sonic genius.
